Manufacture
Our grandstands are fabricated at our facility in Waco, Texas, by a team of skilled welders and builders who take real pride in the quality of their work. Every component is built to meet safety standards and engineered to hold up for decades.

Install
We don't hand off the final step to someone else. Our installation crews are Sturdisteel people who understand the product because they helped build it. From the first bolt to the final walkthrough, we're on-site making sure everything is right.

Our History
What started as a division of a Waco metal shop in 1934 has grown into one of the most trusted names in grandstand manufacturing. Three generations later, we're still building with the same values we started with.
1934 | Where It All Started
Central Texas Iron Works (CTIW) is founded in Waco, Texas, as a structural and industrial metal fabrication business serving customers across the region.
1970s | The Name Is Born
A company-wide naming competition gives the grandstand division its identity: Sturdisteel. The name sticks and starts building a reputation of its own.
1980s | Earning the Name
The Sturdisteel division becomes a respected name in seating for sports and entertainment venues, known for quality craftsmanship and dependable delivery.
1987 | Standing on Our Own
Sturdisteel is re-established as an independent, family-owned business, fully dedicated to designing and manufacturing high-quality grandstand seating systems.
Today | Third Generation, Same Standard
Now led by the third generation of family ownership, Sturdisteel continues to serve communities nationwide with the same values it was built on: dependability, craftsmanship, and service.
