Notice to Owners, Architects, and Contractors

Some of our competitors are spreading rumors that Sturdisteel fails to pay prevailing wages on prevailing wage projects or has forged checks to its subcontractors.  These rumors are based on allegations made in a suit filed by a terminated employee.  While our attorneys have asked us to limit our comments on that litigation for obvious reasons, we can say:

1.  Sturdisteel believes the suit has no merit.

2.  Sturdisteel makes every effort to comply with all applicable laws including prevailing wage laws.  Sturdisteel is not aware of any project where any government agency is claiming Sturdisteel owes any amount to any employee because of any failure to pay prevailing wages.

3.  No Owner, Architect, Contractor or Bonding Company has ever had to pay a single dollar because of any failure of Sturdisteel to pay prevailing wages or to pay its subcontractors or suppliers.

4.  Virtually all prevailing wage jobs are bonded.  Sturdisteel is extremely strong financially and has an excellent relationship with its bonding company.

5.  Sturdisteel's bonding company has never paid a claim of any kind because of any failure of Sturdisteel to pay its obligations including prevailing wages or to properly and timely complete its projects.

6.  No subcontractor or supplier has failed to be paid or is claiming that Sturdisteel acted improperly in regard to any checks payable to them.
