General Characteristics and Specifications of Grandstand Seating:

QUALITY ASSURANCE

1. Codes and Standards: Design, fabrication, and installation shall be in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and accessibility requirements (ADA). Owner will furnish local code requirements.

2. Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum 10 years experience in the design and manufacture of permanent grandstands.

3. Installer Qualifications: Employ persons trained and experienced in the installation of permanent grandstands.

4. Welders: AWS certified.

PROJECT CONDITIONS

1. Owner will verify site location.

2. Owner will locate all underground utilities and obstructions.

3. Owner will furnish geotechnical report indicating soil conditions and allowable soil bearing pressure.

4. Owner will verify grandstand location and benchmark dimensions and elevation.

MAINTENANCE

Annual inspection and evaluation to be conducted by a qualified person retained by the owner. Required maintenance of grandstand to ensure safe conditions by owner

MATERIALS

1. Steel: ASTM A36, A529 GR50, or A992.

2. Aluminum: Extruded alloy 6063-T6.

3. Concrete Foundation: Minimum compressive strength of 3,000 psi at 28 days.

4. Accessories:
   Structural Steel Bolts and Nuts: ASTM A325, galvanized. All structural connections are snug tight per RCSC 2000 specification.
   Accessory and aluminum component bolts: ASTM A307, galvanized
   Hold-Down Clip Assembly: Aluminum alloy 6063-T6.
   End Caps: Aluminum alloy 6063-T6.

INSTALLATION

Install permanent grandstands complete in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions and approved shop drawings.

ADJUSTING

Inspect completed permanent grandstands and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper installed conditions.
